ernon Kee followed his passion for design and invention by going to Ryerson for Mechanical Engineering. Before graduating, he had accumulated 6 awards at the national and provincial level for his designs and the Dennis Mock Leadership Award for student mentoring and coaching. Vernon went on to work as a mechanical designer, and design consultant before entering the automotive industry.As a project manager he was involved with the design, build, budget and schedule of automated robotic welding assembly lines. Vernon has worked on systems that made parts for the Ford Mustang, Nissan Titan and Chrysler Neon. In 2005, he left the engineering field to earn his Bachelors of Education. As a teacher, he would bring his real life experiences into the classroom to teach Physics and Computers while guiding kids on their career paths and future. His experience in teaching programming in school has made him appreciate its use in promoting engineering and design. Vernon is dedicated to using his work experience to help kids discover and explore options for what they want to do in life and helping them to get there.

 

evin Hutzol was educated in Design fundamentals at Sheridan College and then went onto Industrial Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design(OCAD). He participated in the 2002 annual OCAD Design competition, where he lead his team to a third place finish. He created robots for the 2002 and 2004 OCAD sumo robot competitions and won an award for robot design, and was seen on Space News for one of his competitive robots. Kevin brings to the camp his experience with professional and award winning design along with experience in teaching programming to kids.
