dvanced Industry Mentors (AIM) Game Camp offers students who have an interest in computers and games an introduction to programming. Using a visual based programming language developed by MIT, students will craft a series of games over the course of the three week camp. Students will learn programming fundamentals such as variables and boolean logic in order to create the games that they imagine.

lso covered in the camp are the art and design aspects of game creation. Design decisions covering topics ranging from character and level design, to game concepts such as goals and mechanisms will be made by the students and then implemented through programming. Students will also be responsible for creating all the art assets of the game, and will be instructed on sprite creation and animation.

he camp spans 3 Saturday mornings starting December 1st to December 15th, from 9am to Noon at the office of Cornerstone Church in support of the Nicaragua Mission Trip in March. Included with the $100 tax deductible camp fee is:

>guided instruction with a 1: 6 instructor to student ratio
>online support to aid students in weekly assignments

y the end of camp, your child will walk away with one or more games they have designed and created themselves!
